Wayne Daines

Owner and certified mechanic Wayne Daines began his career in the auto repair industry over 45 years ago. Like all quality mechanics, Wayne had a passion for cars, what makes them run, and what could make them run better.

What he also possessed was an unbending appreciation of the respect and integrity customers and their vehicles deserve to be treated with.

Wayne founded his own auto repair shop in Hamilton in 1974 with a gentleman’s set of ideals for how business should be done. Upfront pricing, honest assessments, and open communication are just a few of the principles that have been the cornerstones of Daines Automotive for over 35 years.

Daines Automotive is located one block past Gage Avenue on the corner of King and Connaught, a jog away from Ivor Wynne Stadium. Through a combination of reputable service and community involvement, Wayne Daines’ car repair shop has become a fixture in Hamilton.

Daines Automotive is a member of the Hamilton branch of Business Networking International and has been sponsoring the Girl Guide and Boy Scout Parade for 15 years. Wayne sits on the board of Neighbour to Neighbour, a centre that works to prevent poverty in the community, and is the former chair of the Canadian Cancer Society.
